President: Dawn May

Dawn May is a leading authority on work management, systems management, performance, and diagnostics, with intimate knowledge of the IBM i operating system developed through her distinguished career with IBM. Today, as an independent consultant, she focuses her skills on helping companies troubleshoot issues and plan for the future while teaching them how to get the most out of their IBM i systems. Dawn is the author of the “i Can” blog and a frequent speaker. In her spare time, Dawn enjoys photography, sewing, baking bread, and playing the piano.

Executive Vice President: Floyd DelMuro

Floyd Del Muro is currently a Sr. Product Manager for Abraham Technical Services (AbeTech).  Floyd has been extensively involved in helping companies from planning stages through delivery of strategic legacy modernization and refactoring projects. His expertise in hybrid application development and hybrid cloud makes him a trusted advisor for companies in software delivery and DevOps methods and tooling. Floyd is a global speaker about DevOps, Version Control, Continuous Integration, Release Management, Modernization, and Hybrid Cloud.  Floyd has volunteered for COMMON and The Omni User Board.  Floyd earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in 1981.

Term: Re-Elected Spring 2023; term ends 2026.

Treasurer: Puneet Kohli

Puneet Kohli

Puneet Kohli is the Vice President of Products at Rocket Software. Puneet leads the IBMi portfolio of products at Rocket Software and is responsible for products in the DevOps, Disaster Recovery, Terminal Emulation, application Modernization and APIs. Puneet has two decades of experience managing all facets of engineering for enterprise software. Puneet has deep knowledge of Identity and access management, governance risk & compliance, Devops, hybrid converged infrastructure and modernization. Puneet has held leadership positions at RSA, Dell/EMC and CA technologies in past.

Term: Elected Spring 2022; eligible for Re-election Spring 2025.

Secretary: Pete Helgren

Pete HelgrenCurrently IT Generalist at Bible Study Fellowship International. Pete is a developer with broad experience across multiple languages and platforms, including over 27 years of system 3X/AS400/iSeries/IBM i experience. He holds certifications as a GIAC Cloud Penetration Tester, GIAC Secure Software Programmer-Java, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals. His passion has always been in system integration and currently focuses on Open Source applications and application integration. Pete is a speaker/trainer in RPG modernization, open source integration, mobile application development, Java programming and PHP and actively blogs at petesworkshop.com.

Immediate Past President: Gordon Leary

Gordon Leary

 

Gordon is the IT Manager of AMPORTS, Inc. and has been involved with the IBM midrange community since 1987. AMPORTS is an automotive port processor with locations in the US and Mexico. Gordon has attended COMMON conferences since 1988, and in the last several years, he has participated on several committees including Communications and Networking, Volunteer Recruitment and the GoTo Market task force. Gordon earned his degree in Computer Science from Towson State University.

Term: Re-elected Spring 2019; term ended Spring 2022, but stays on as Immediate Past President.

Director: Scott Klement

Scott Klement

Scott Klement is an IT professional with a passion for both programming and mentoring. He joined Midrange Dynamics at the beginning of October 2022. He formerly was the Director of Product Development and Support at Profound Logic and the IT Manager and Senior Programmer at Klement’s Sausage Co., Inc. Scott also serves on the Board of Directors of COMMON, where he represents the Education, Innovation, and Certification teams. He is an IBM Champion for Power Systems.

Term: Re-Elected Spring 2021; term ends Spring 2024.

Director: Ted Macksam

Ted MacksamI graduated from Valparaiso University with a BS in Electrical Engineering. After college my career evolved into Information Technology where I worked for a few medium and large consulting firms. In 2003, I was hired by Hatco Corporation and continued evolving within the organization. Hatco has more than tripled its business in the last 20 years and my current role is Vice President of Information Technology. Our team provides ideas and solutions to our organization that allows us to be even more efficient while continuing to grow our business through increased sales, market expansions, and new acquisitions. We support our business locations in Wisconsin, California, Nevada, Tennessee, and China. I have worked on the IBM i for over 20 years and have moved our organization from a traditional IBM i ERP to a custom open-source ERP.

I am a devoted husband and father to my wife Chantal and two sons Alex and Nicholas. In my free time I am a passionate pickleball player, enjoy spending time with my family, and traveling.

Director: Marina Schwenk

Marina Schwenk

Marina started her career in January 2015 at Everbrite LLC in Greenfield, WI after graduating from Gateway Technical College in May of 2014 with an Associate’s degree in IT Software Development. Marina works as a developer in both RPG and Java and she also is one of two IBM i admins at Everbrite. Marina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems Software Development from Bellevue University in June of 2017. Marina is currently the Vice President for the Wisconsin Midrange Computer Professional Association (WMCPA) users group, a member of COMMON’S Young i Professionals (Yips) committee, a member of COMMON America Advisory Council (CAAC), a private tutor in English and Programming for students at an associates or bachelor’s degree level, a public speaker on topics ranging from RPG, SQL standards and unit testing, and was named a IBM fresh face for 2019.

Director: Craig Skonieczny

I am proud to lead several innovative companies in the IBM universe that have been changing the way the world works for our clients for nearly 50 years. I am excited to extend this passion to the COMMON community as we all seek to drive the future of digital transformation with advanced technology, industry expertise and trust.

Director: Peg Tuttle

Peg Tuttle

Peg is a 2022 IBM Champion who has spent 35+ years in the IBM i community. Throughout her career working for companies such as Midrange Dynamics, HelpSystems, iTech, and Denovo, she has assisted IBM i shops, matching them with solutions focused on operations, security, disaster recovery, high availability, change management, and more. Within the COMMON community, Peg has volunteered with WIT, panel discussions, speaking, and the POWERUp 5K. She has also partnered with COMMON to launch her podcast The Incredible i Show, which promotes IBM i and its everyday users. Peg excels in networking and building long-term relationships with colleagues and clients while working from her home office in Minnesota.

IBM Liaison: Brandon Pederson

Brandon Pederson is the Product Marketing Manager for IBM i and Power, including Banking and Industry Modernization. Prior to this role, Brandon was the Content Marketing Manager for IBM WebSphere and Worldwide Content and Community Manager for IBM Power. He has an MBA from Baylor University. Brandon is from and lives in Austin, Texas and is an Austin FC season ticket holder.

Executive Director: Manzoor Siddiqui

Manzoor SiddiquiManzoor Siddiqui has been with COMMON since 2006, having served in the role of Marketing Communications Manager, where he led all marketing and sales initiatives for the organization. He has over 20 years of multi-disciplinary business, marketing, and IT experience across a broad range of industries, including Associations, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Insurance organizations. He has served as a subject matter expert on several panels through Association Forum and LFGSM. Manzoor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from National-Louis University, and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, where his focus was on Marketing and International Business Management.
