Our top priority at COMMON is the health and safety of our attendees, staff, and volunteers. We know many are concerned about Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, and the potential for it to spread within the U.S. and affect our POWERUP 2020 event. Rest assured, we are continuously monitoring the recommendations of the proper health authorities.

We are actively working with the hotel to assure the facility is taking additional recommended steps in response.

These steps include:

  • Placing hand sanitizers in various public areas within the hotel
  • Routinely cleaning and disinfecting public area surfaces every 2 hours, including thorough disinfecting of bathrooms in public spaces
  • Checking guests’ well-being during the check-in/registration process
  • Implementing additional cleaning and sanitizing of high-touch surfaces in Guest Rooms, including door handles, work surfaces, bathrooms, etc.
  • Maintaining 6-foot social distancing throughout the hotels at all points of interaction

Additionally, we are evaluating all components of the conference to help ensure that we are providing you with a conference experience that keeps your health and safety top of mind.

Recommended guidelines for travelers from the CDC can be found here:

Travel guidance and restrictions are continually changing at a national and local (Florida) level. Therefore, we recommend that attendees wait to make flight arrangements until 4-3 weeks prior to the event.

Preventative Measures

In the meantime we encourage everyone to follow the recommendations of the CDC for everyday preventative actions, which can be found here:
