COMMON Webcasts are part of the new "COMMON...Customized" education model, and are offered free to COMMON members as part of their membership benefits. They are one-hour long webcasts on leading edge topics to meet the increasing educational needs of COMMON members.

COMMON Webcasts are designed to enhance the educational opportunities for Power Systems professionals and bolster their daily workplace needs. They are conducted by industry-leading experts and provide focused education at no cost to COMMON members.

IBM i and other operating systems, and how those differences continue to deliver value as new technologies are brought into the mainstream of the IT industry.  Steve's presentation will teach you something, whether you know anything about IBM i or not, and will help you answer the question "Why i?"

About the Speaker:
Steve has worked on the IBM i operating system and its predecessors since the initial development of the AS/400. He is currently the IBM i Chief Architect, responsible for the strategy of the operating system and the plan for future releases.
