About the Speaker:
Jay is the world wide Program Director for the AIX operating system. As part of the IBM POWER Systems marketing team, Jay's responsibilities include product positioning, driving future product directions, and evangelizing the capabilities and future directions for AIX. Jay has held a variety of roles at IBM including manager of the AIX Architecture team, product manager at Tivoli, presenter on the Austin Briefing center staff, a SAP systems management consultant, a member of the AIX development team and a mainframe system programmer and administrator. In his spare time, Jay enjoys hiking, camping and flying private planes.

IBM i Performance Data Collectors and Investigator (FREE to COMMON Members)

This webcast will review the IBM i performance data collectors. We will cover the Performance Data Investigator, which was new in the 6.1 release with IBM Systems Director Navigator Web console. Topics include the "Investigate Data" tasks and how to use PDI for analysis of your performance data.

About the Speaker:
Dawn May is a Senior Technical Staff Member at IBM in Rochester, Minnesota. Dawn's current position is the technical lead for the IBM i Systems Software Development organization and IBM i Business Architect. In this position she has the responsibility for the overall strategy and plan for the core components of i. Dawn also has technical leadership responsibilities for i performance and diagnostic tools; she led the development of the 6.1 performance tools enhancements, which includes the new "Performance" tasks in the IBM Systems Director Navigator for i Web console. Past responsibilities include testing, SNA and TCP/ IP communications development , service tools development, and work management development.
