RandyD

Randy Dufault
President 

Randy Dufault is the Director of Solution Development for Genus Technologies in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In that role he is responsible for the architecture and design of software solutions for clients across the country and around the world. Those solutions center on IBM Software technologies and often concentrate on unstructured data management. He is a long-time COMMON member and volunteer, with experience across the organization. He also currently serves as Chairman of COMMON’s Certification Steering Committee.

Bob Krzeczowski
Executive Vice President

Bob has been in the IT industry for the last 26 years filling many roles – an employee, consultant, and business owner. He has worked in operations, as a programmer, an analyst, and as a manager. Bob has been a volunteer with COMMON as a speaker, and a member of the Education Team for over 15 years. On the Education Team he served as a Subject Matter Expert, a Strategic Team Member, the Assistant Strategic Education Team Manager and most recently COMMON’s Strategic Education Team Manager.

Jeff Carey
Treasurer

Jeff Carey has worked on what is currently the IBM i platform since 1992 as a system administrator / consultant for a number of firms across industries and business sizes. He has worked for firms such as Baxter, Acxiom and JPM Chase and is currently employed by SXC, a large IBM i shop in the healthcare software / pharmacy benefits management industry. He currently also serves as President of the Omni User, a Chicago area IBM i user group. He has been a member of COMMON since 1993 and a COMMON Speaker of Merit since 2005.

Pete Helgren
Secretary

Currently is Senior Consultant/President of Value Added Software, Inc. Pete is also an RPG/C++/VB/Java programmer with over 20 years of system 3X/AS400/iSeries experience. He holds certifications as an IBM Certified Specialist -- iSeries Solution Sales eServer i5 and eServer i5 iSeries Single System Administration and an MCSE. His passion has always been in system integration and currently focuses on Open Source applications and integration activities. He has had previous lives as a Regional Training and Support manager for Pearson Plc and HR Director for Meridian School District, Meridian, ID and as a Peace Corps Volunteer.

Pete Massiello
Immediate Past President

Pete Massiello has been working with the AS/400, iSeries, i5, IBM i since 1989, focusing on systems management and technical support. He has held numerous technical positions throughout his career. He is the President of iTech Solutions Group, an IBM Advanced Business Partner delivering solutions and services to IBM i shops throughout the US. He is a member of IBM’s certification test writing team, an IBM Certified Systems Expert with certifications in iSeries Design, Administration, Implementation, LPAR, and HMC management. Pete has a BS in Computer Science from Hofstra University, and an MBA from the University of New Haven. He is President of COMMON, a COMMON Hall of Fame speaker, and a frequent speaker at user groups all over the world. In 2011 IBM established the Champions award for Power Systems, Pete was one of the first recipients.

PhilM

Phil McCullough
Director

Phil is the IT Director for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification board in Saint Paul, a position he has held since 1996. He graduated from Mississippi State University in Mathematics and initially worked in the mainframe environment. He joined Cargill in 1983 and has been working with the IBM i and its predecessors since. He has taught evening classes in RPG at the Minneapolis Technical Institute, served as Scout Master to his son’s Boy Scout Troop and currently volunteers at his community center. Since the mid 80’s he has attended COMMON conferences serving in a number of capacities from speaker to requirements booth manager. In 2004 he was elected a charter member of the COMMON Americas Advisors Council (CAAC) and has served in that capacity since. As a COMMON Board member, Phil serves as Liaison to the Executive Conference, the Requirements Committee, and the local user groups.

KevinM

Kevin Mort
Director

Kevin Mort is VP, Dynamic Infrastructure Solutions for IBM partner Flagship Solutions Group, in Boca Raton, Florida. He also represents his own firm GlobalMind Technology Consulting. Previously, Kevin spent over nine years as Systems Engineer with IBM partner Arrow Electronics. Kevin holds several certifications on IBM i, AIX and Lotus Software. With COMMON, Kevin is a speaker, SME, and member of the CaN and JAC. Kevin holds a BA from Indiana University, Bloomington and resides in South Florida with his wife. In his spare time he is "WebMunster" for Frankeni.com, an avid golfer and motorsports fan.

JustinP

Justin Porter
Director

Justin Porter is the Director of Technology for Westside Produce. Westside Produce being a very small enterprise, Justin runs the entire program; everything from infrastructure design to annual budgeting to implementation for all IT and communications functions fall under his responsibility. Justin has also been very active in the IBM i community. He has served as a member of the COMMON America’s Advisory Council (CAAC), a member of the Community and Networking (CaN) group, a member of the Certification Steering Committee and a regular guest on to the Board of Directors. Justin has a strong foundation in both technology and business, both professionally and academically.

RalphG

Ralph Gervasi
Executive Director, COMMON Staff 

Ralph joined COMMON in 2000 and has more than 20 years experience in association management. He has served as COMMON's Executive Director since 2005 and prior to that he served as the Membership and Registration Manager. He began his association career with the American Dental Hygienists Association in 1988. Throughout his association career, Ralph has held positions as executive director of the International Kitchen Exhaust Association and the Casual Furniture Retailers Association. He has also held director of membership positions with the National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors, Chicago Women in Publishing, National Association of Ticket Brokers as well as other association positions while working with Raybourn Group International - an association management company. Gervasi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from DeVry University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Dominican University . He is a long-time member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Association Forum of Chicago, and has served on membership committees and focus groups for these organizations.  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
