Sessions

The Online Session Guide hosts all session information. After registration, attendees will have access to the guide in order to create custom schedules and download handouts.

Preconference Workshops

Preconference Workshops provide an opportunity to spend a morning or afternoon focused on a subject. Held on Sunday, October 14, all workshops are 3.5 hours. Register for one or two depending on your learning goals.

New for this Fall Conference – all Preconference Workshops include a hands-on experience. Please BYOD, preferably a laptop, to each workshop.

Wednesday Hands-on Labs

Looking to develop your skills with IBM Cloud (IBM Bluemix) or Watson? Attend one or both of these hands-on labs on Wednesday, October 17.

For those attending the Fall Conference, there is no additional charge to attend the labs. However, please recognize that these labs run at the same time as other conference sessions.

For those wanting to attend the labs without attending the Fall Conference, lab prices are $99 each.

Due to limited capacity, separate registration is required. When registering, be sure to select the hands-on lab(s) you wish to attend in the Program section. Otherwise, you are not registered.

Interested in the IBM Cloud platform for application development and hosting? If so, join us. Get started with a free IBM Cloud (IBM Bluemix) account, register to use APIs, connect your phone’s sensors to the cloud, analyze social media, and more!

Connect IBM i with Watson and IBM Cloud

Interested in using Watson in your IBM i applications? See how easy it is to deploy cognitive applications on your IBM i. Also, deploy a sample IBM Cloud (IBM Bluemix) application that communicates with IBM i.

IBM i IT Leadership Forum

IT leaders are invited to a special event occurring on Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the conference hotel.

The event’s theme is Digital Transformation. Future-proofing IT is just one of many challenges facing modern organizations. As an IBM i IT leader, you need to prioritize initiatives such as improving agility and taking advantage of modern digital technologies such as mobile, cloud, eCommerce and APIs. With so many options, choosing the right digital transformation strategy can be a challenge.

Discussion topics are:

  • Innovating through digitization to increase competitive advantage
  • Developing IT strategies that align with business and add value
  • Designing modern applications and processes that leverage your investment in IBM i

There will also be a Think Tank where you can engage with other IBM i IT leaders and share your experiences and challenges.
