Jim Sloan
Jim Sloan is a retired IBMer who is President of Jim Sloan, Inc. Jim was the lead software planner on the S/ 38 Operating System beginning with the early stages of development. He continued in this capacity through the development and early releases of AS/ 400. While working on S/ 38, Jim started what was known as the QUSRTOOL library and wrote all of the TAA Tools in the library. Jim Sloan, Inc. has a license from IBM to include the TAA Tools in the TAA Productivity Tools product. Jim is the developer of this product. Jim has spoken at every COMMON conference since 1979 and is a frequent speaker at various user groups in the U.S. and abroad. He continues to speak and write on a variety of AS/ 400 subjects. He is the author of the book 'Jim Sloan's CL Tips & Techniques.'
