Today's eServer i5 iSeries servers managed by a Hardware Management Console (HMC) introduce new and/ or different maintenance requirements compared to their predecessors. This seminar will introduce concepts and practices for keeping your HMC up to date; the different methods that can be employed to do so; constraints and planning considerations for maintenance to be performed on the HMC and what impact HMC updates have on the managed system.
