Speaker(s):
Gottfried Schimunek IBM Corporation

Application performance analysis requires sometimes to drill
down into the inside of application programs and investigate what parts of the program is causing a CPU or I/ O load. The performance explorer function of the IBM performance tools allow to collect and analyze application performance data in a tabular or graphical form. This presentation will show examples of how to use these tools to do a more detailed analysis of
application performance parameters in terms of CPU, memory and I/ O use as well as analysis of causes for wait situations.

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
1. Collect application performance data.
2. Analyze application performance with IBM Performance Explorer.
