This lab will let attemdees try out the planning and deployment tools that are part of the new LPAR Simplification Infrastructure. Lab attendees will learn how to download and install these tools. We will walk through some simple planning and deployment execises to give participants a "hands on" experience with these tools. Sessions "Planning Partitions Using The New LPAR Simplification Infrastructure" (500077) and "Deploying Partitions Using The New LPAR Simplification Infrastructure" (500078) sessions are not required for this lab but we strongly encourage you to attend both these sessions.

By the end of this lab, attendees will be able to:
1. Download and install LPAR Simplification tools.
2. Understand the basics of the planning and deployment tools.
3. Use basic functions of the tools to plan and deploy partitions on their Power5 system.
