This combined lab session enables you to explore both Infoprint Designer and Infoprint Server. You are able to work on one or the other, or both, during the lab time.

Infoprint Designer for iSeries is the integrated, comprehensive document design system for iSeries. In this lab, you will use Infoprint Designer to design and produce business documents and reports with overlays, images, barcodes and complex formatting. Complete integration enables existing output applications to be reengineered into fully electronic pages without any change to the current application program. Students work at their own pace using the graphical the fully graphical Windows design interface. When each project is complete, the application uploaded and put into production, including printing on lab printers.

Infoprint Server is the System i5 program product for PDF services and electronic output distribution. Infoprint Server can dramatically change how you communicate with your users and customers. In this lab, you will be able to run though Infoprint Server set-up, document segmentation and indexing, the iSeries Access interface, and PDF mapping objects. Then, you can put this all together and deploy electronic distribution of output.
