This lab will give you hands on experience with the Hardware Management Console(HMC) and give you an opportunity to ask questions. The attendees will follow a self-paced tutorial that will walk them through an initial setup of an HMC, LPAR creation, and other HMC configuration.

By the end of this lab, attendees will be able to:
1. Perform initial setup of an HMC
2. Create logical partitions using the HMC.

The lab will be PC based using simulation software, so you don't have to worry about "breaking" anything. There is no prerequisite to be able to successfully complete the lab exercises.
