Roadmap: Using iSeries Access for Windows to work with iSeries Resources 
Educational Goal
The attendee will be given an overview of capabilities provided by iSeries Access and OS/ 400, then be shown how to set up the AS/ 400 NetServer for file and print serving, how to use Data Transfer and set up predefined Data Transfer requests, how to configure 5250 emulation sessions, and how to use some of the base iSeries Navigator functions. This education will provide the attendee with a good working knowledge of some of the functions provided and how to use them. The hands-on lab (410160) scheduled on Wednesday has a 'iSeries Access Express - The Basics' section that enables attendees to try out these iSeries Access functions.

Business Objective
The iSeries Access for Windows product offers Windows operating system users a broad range of functions for working with iSeries resources. The focused education roadmap will offer the attendee to learn how to work with the iSeries database, file system, printers, etc. It will also identify many practical ways an iSeries administrator can control the functions end users can work with and how to manage their network of PC users.

Suggested Prerequisites
Basic understanding of TCP/ IP, iSeries capabilities, Microsoft Windows capabilities.
