Take the examples provided in this course and implement them in your office or at one of WebSphere open labs. This is how you learned RPG, from examples that you played with and made do what you wanted them to do.

The primary purpose of this session is to allow a traditional AS/ 400 programmer to start with nothing but the installation CDs and create a functional WebSphere application.

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
1. Create a JSP and Servlet that can access, display, and change iSeries data using a web browser.
2. Take that source code, compile it, deploy it and call it from a web browser.
3. Use WebSphere.
