Each computer accepts data, processes it, and produces reports. Yet, each computer is different. This session will discuss the unique iSeries architecture. Topics will include a brief iSeries history, single level storage, data base concepts, major languages and security.

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
1. Understand the differences between physical and logical files and SQL.
2. Understand the difference between private vs public authority.
3. Understand how an iSeries differs from a main frame or a PC.
