This session will teach you how to install and configure WebSphere Application Server V6.1 for i5/ OS. WebSphere Application Server is IBM's Java application server; it helps you deploy and manage Web applications that range from simple Web sites to powerful e-business solutions and offers support for applications built from servlets, JSPs, and EJBs. WebSphere Application Server forms the base for many other IBM software products such as WebSphere Commerce Suite and WebSphere Portal Server.

By the end of this session, attendees will learn:

1. How to install WebSphere Application Server on the i5/ OS system.
2. How to configure the application server and the HTTP server.
3. How to verify the installation and configuration using the sample applications that are shipped with the product.
