Speaker(s):

Is your file where you think it is? The iSeries Integrated File System(IFS) provides several distributed file systems that allow you to transparently access data on other computers in your network. This session describes the iSeries distributed file systems (NFS, QNTC, and QFileSvr.400) and the configuration needed to start using them.

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
1. Know what distributed file systems are available and how they fit into the IFS.
2. Know the advantages, disadvantages and new features of each distributed file system.
3. Know how to configure a basic connection to another computer using each distributed file system.
