ILE Introduction

Speaker(s):
Susan Gantner Partner400

This session introduces the basics of the Integrated Language Environment's static binding and Activation Group concepts. This information is fundamental to using ILE to develop modular applications. Using a simple application example, we will illustrate how and why to create modules, bound ILE programs and Service Programs. We'll see the advantages that Binding Directories offer in the process. We'll take a high level look at
Activation Groups - what they are and how they can be used. This session forms the foundation for the more advanced ILE sessions offered at COMMON.
