Kent Bruinsma
Kent Bruinsma is an Senior Software Engineer at IBM in Rochester, Minnesota where he has worked for 23+ years. He started his career working on PC Support/ 36 and PC Support/ 400 programming on both the System/ 36 and the PC client, then worked on AS/ 400 SNA communications projects including 5494 Remote Workstation Controller, DLUR, and Display Station Passthru. For six years, Kent was lead developer on the HTTP Server for AS/ 400 starting with the "original" HTTP Server in V4R3 through the "Powered by Apache" HTTP Server. He then spent two years on WebSphere Business Integration Server Express, followed by 2 years on the LDAP Directory Server for System i. Kent is currently the Technology Leader for i5/ OS Networking, the team leader for the TCP/ IP Applications and Configuration team and the development owner of FTP on System i.
