Making Your Business Processes Effective by Letting the Computer Do the Work

Speaker(s):
Richard S. Szulewski IBM Corporation

Gone are the days when a business process could operate at human speeds. In today's world, business processes need to operate at transaction speeds without any loss of integrity or trackability. Processes seem to combine and recombine daily or even hourly as new business opportunities present themselves. The more agile the company gets (to stay in business) the more complicated the business processes get as well as their supporting transactions.

When these problems have plagued us in the past, we applied computers to the task. This time will be no different. This session will lay out the technologies you can bring to bear on these challenges and how they can help you get your arms around a more and more dynamic world.

The attendee will leave with an understanding of how software can provide speed, efficiency, and consistency to existing processes.

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
1. Identify existing business processes.
2. Recognize how software can be applied to make these processes more business-effective.
3. Understand what IBM WebSphere products can be used to accomplish these goals.
