Introduction to JSF Development

Java Server Faces (JSF) is a new technology that improves and simplifies Java Web application development. In this session we explain JSF concepts and show how to build a JSF application that accesses i5/ OS applications and data. JSF features cover a complete UI component model, Web UI event support, better MVC implementation, better client support, simple application control, page building tools, and more. Lastly, in the session we will demonstrate JSF layer as presentation of an RPG application hosted as a service by the i5/ OS integrated Web services server.

By the end of this session, you will know:
1. How JSF simplifies Web development.
2. How to use JSF to connect to i5/ OS applications.
