The Open Source movement has gained ground in both the number of applications available for use as well as the quality of applications. This session will review the latest open source Java applications and some RPG applications that can be used on the iSeries and demonstrate their capabilities. Installation techniques and requirements will be reviewed as well as techniques for integrating them into existing legacy applications.

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
1. Identify sources of Open Source applications.
2. Install and use Open Source application on their iSeries.
3. Integrate open source applications with their existing applications.
