Managing System i Environment

This course of study provides a comprehensive roadmap for operating your entire System i computing environment. Optimization of a single server as well as a consolidation of multiple workloads onto a single hardware platform (AIX, Linux, Windows and Domino) through Logical Partitioning (LPAR) will be covered. Sessions included will demonstrate how to take advantage of a variety of performance tools and analysis capabilities. Additionaly, this course of study will present sessions related IBM virtualization technologies, basic system management, hardware management console (HMC), work management, change management, and problem/fix management tasks to keep your System i environment running smoothly. Other focuses include e-output solutions and enterprise-wide management of printing and printed output from i5/OS, along with various products and methods available for connecting to i5/OS. Configuration and administration of your i5/OS security environment are also included in this course of study.
