Only cards with at least 3 proper stamps are eligible and you must be present to win.
(Guests are not eligible to win prizes but are welcome to attend these events.)

Join Faceboard!

“Faceboard” is the place for all your messages and a place to connect with other conference attendees. Be sure to check it several times each day for personal messages, for Community & Networking information, and to leave your own messages, doodles or advice for other attendees. You’ll find Faceboard near the registration area, Casino Level, Nevada Room.

Want to win a Nintendo® Wii™? Look for special “CaNcodes” on Faceboard - several will be posted each day of the conference at regular intervals. Write down all the CaNcodes you can find on the back of your i CaN Card and bring to Power Down - Recognition Night (Wednesday, Casino Level, Tahoe Ballroom, 6:15-8:30 p.m.). If you have collected 5 correct CaNcodes, you will receive a raffle ticket for another chance to win a Nintendo® Wii™. (If you have 3 or more stamps on your i Can Card, plus 5 correct CaNcodes, you will receive 2 raffle tickets.) Drawing takes place at 8:15 p.m.

(Guests are not eligible to win prizes.)

First Timers

Join Jon Paris and Trevor Perry for the First Timer’s session on Sunday and ice cream social on Wednesday! Trevor will give you some tips about attending your first COMMON Annual Meeting and Exposition, and you’ll meet other first-timers too!

The session begins at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday in Casino Level, Carson Rooms, and the ice cream social takes place on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., Mezzanine Level, Whitney Room.

Birds of a Feather Sessions (BOFS)

Is there a topic that isn’t exactly being covered in a scheduled session? Do you want to get together with others with a particular special interest? Then a BOF session is for you! You can post a topic on the BOFS board and if enough other people sign up, your BOF session will be reviewed by the Education Team. If your BOF session proposal is approved, it will be added to the conference grids and published in the onsite newspaper. For more information, visit the BOFS bulletin board in the registration area - Nevada Room, Arcade Level.

The COMMON Conference Daily will list all scheduled Birds of a Feather sessions, as well as the Online Session Guide.

If you need assistance with Birds of a Feather sessions, write to Nancy_boutcher@common.org.

Get in “The Comfort Zone”

The Comfort Zone is Tuesday night from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Six sessions have been chosen to help you unwind and be entertained after a busy day of techno-learning. By attending a Comfort Zone session, you are eligible to win an iPod Shuffle!

Inside the i CaN Have Fun! packet is one Comfort Zone trading card. To be eligible for the drawing, you need to collect a set of 4 ‘different’ cards, or a set of all 7 cards. Bring your set of 4, or set of 7, to any session of your choice and exchange them for a raffle ticket. A set of 4 = one raffle ticket; a set of 7 = 2 raffle tickets. Only one set may be redeemed per person.

Two iPod Shuffles will be raffled at the Power Down - Fun Night (Tahoe Ballroom, Casino Level), which follows the Comfort Zone sessions. Don’t forget to bring your ticket! You must be present to win.

Sessions offered at this Comfort Zone are:

1. Funny Business! by Randall Munson

3. Improving Your Memory by Conrad Feldt

4. It’s All in Your Mind by Jon Paris and Susan Gantner

5. No’ No’ Yes, And... by Trevor Perry
