iSociety Face to Face

Birds of a Feather Sessions, or BOFS, have taken on a new look and name – iSociety Face to Face sessions. Session rooms are available for “face to face” discussions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings between the hours of 7:30pm -9:00pm and topics can be about any special interest – technical or otherwise.

The familiar ‘BOF’ board has been replaced with an online process for requesting a Face to Face session.  The directions are simple:

  1. Go to isociety.common.org and click on Special Interest Groups.
  2. Select “list all groups” and then select the SIG called “Face to Face.”
  3. Add a new topic for your proposed session and include your name, company, description of the discussion and your preferred day and time.
Interested participants should post a reply to the new topic.  When 2 or more people are interested and the session is approved by COMMON, the proposed Face to Face session will be scheduled.  A message will be posted to the SIG to indicate the day, time and room and will also be listed in the COMMON Conference Daily and the Online Session Guide.
