Grid Computing: Architectures and Software, Globus Toolkit

Speaker(s):
Frank Paxhia IBM Corporation

Grid Computing helps businesses utilize distributed IT resources, such as
processors, data, software and other services, as though they were part of
a single virtual system. The Global Grid Forum (GGF) has produced grid
standards that have been implemented by the Globus Alliance and delivered in
the Globus Toolkit. This session will build an understanding of the
architectures and software involved and then explore the installation
and configuration procedures. Learn how to setup computational and data
grids using services for execution, data and information management.
