This session will cover some of the more common (and some of the uncommon) issues that occur during the implementation of an LPAR. Knowing that the issues exist is an advantage when performing an installation. This session will arm you with information necessary for a successful LPAR implementation

We will cover topics from some basic LPAR requirements, through requirements for various operating systems, and issues relative to various hardware models. We will discuss console options, RAID cards, disk rules, cabling rules, loop rules and power issues. We'll touch on racking items and hints.  We will discuss methods and options for migrating from one system to an LPARed system.

By the end of this session, attendees will:
1. Understand what is needed for a sucessfull LPAR build.
2. Know many tricks that will save time in the LPAR implementation process.
3. Know what to avoid to stay out of trouble in the process.
